Acorny A Physical Computing Kit for Computational Thinking
Digital literacy is becoming increasingly important, yet many students face barriers to learning physical computing. Existing tools such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi often require prior technical knowledge and make computing processes difficult to understand.
The project makes computing processes visible through process-oriented interactions, simplifies learning with function-based modular components, and connects coding with physical computing through an integrated learning platform.
Acorny is a physical computing kit and learning application designed to help students develop computational thinking through intuitive, hands-on exploration.
Its modular system visualizes the flow of input, processing, and output, while the accompanying app provides programming lessons, personalized recommendations, and real-time tutorials based on selected modules.
Acorny lowers the entry barrier to physical computing and transforms technical learning into a more intuitive and engaging experience.
