2030 Gwangju-si Landscape Master Plan & Design Guidelines
Gwangju-si is a rapidly evolving city where urban development coexists with rich natural and cultural landscapes. The 2030 Landscape Master Plan establishes a citywide framework for conserving valuable landscape resources, managing changing urban environments, and shaping a sustainable landscape identity toward 2030.
Jaeyoung’s primary contributions focused on landscape research, design guideline development, and aerial visualization. He participated in analyzing urban conditions and landscape resources, translating planning strategies into detailed design guidelines, and creating aerial-view visualizations to communicate proposed landscape improvements and spatial applications.
The resulting guidelines provide practical design principles across spatial structure, streetscape, architecture, landscape color and materials, outdoor advertising, and nightscape, connecting citywide landscape strategies with actionable design standards.
The project bridges research, planning, and design, providing a practical framework that can guide landscape-related projects from planning and design through review, implementation, and long-term management.
