Outcome
Spatial Design · Visual Identity · Signage & Information System
This project developed an integrated spatial and visual design system for the Geomdan Eoullim Welfare Center, creating a more accessible, recognizable, and welcoming environment for people with diverse needs, including people with disabilities, older adults, and children.
Jaeyoung Myung contributed to spatial design, visual identity, and information design. He participated in developing the center’s slogan, icons, and visual identity, translating these elements into a consistent environmental graphic system across the facility.
The design was applied to various touchpoints, including information displays, signage, staff nameplates, and photo display boards, creating a coherent visual language throughout the space. Particular attention was given to improving the clarity and recognizability of information so that users with different physical and cognitive needs could navigate and understand the environment more easily.
Throughout the project, Jaeyoung Myung applied principles of accessibility, safety, visibility, and intuitive recognition to guide design decisions. Rather than treating accessibility as an additional feature, the project integrated inclusive design principles into both the physical environment and communication system, creating a space that supports more comfortable and independent use for a wider range of people.
