Outcome
Environmental Noise IoT Monitoring Network Standard Manual
This project develops a standardized operational manual for Korea’s Environmental Noise IoT Monitoring Network, commissioned to support the expansion of environmental noise monitoring nationwide. The manual aims to formalize the detailed procedures required to establish and operate IoT monitoring sites, improving consistency and reliability across future monitoring network projects.
Jaeyoung Myung’s primary contributions focus on content organization, information design, and editorial design. He reorganizes complex technical and administrative information—including relevant regulations, site selection, field surveys, electrical design and construction, permitting, equipment installation, inspection, and maintenance—into a clear procedural structure that practitioners can easily navigate and apply in their work.
A key part of Jaeyoung Myung’s role is translating extensive technical documentation into an accessible and systematic visual manual. The planned 240-page structure organizes the content into an overview, monitoring network installation procedures, IoT monitoring equipment, and practical appendices, supported by process diagrams, forms, and checklists for repeated use in the field.
The project goes beyond documenting procedures by creating a consistent information system for complex operational workflows. From preliminary data collection and site selection to design, construction, inspection, commissioning, and maintenance, the manual connects each stage into a coherent workflow and provides practical reference materials for standardized implementation.
